Hollywood Heritage Title Match Announced for March 11

The past eight months since Bad Dude Tito captured the Hollywood Heritage Championship have had its ups and downs for the “Baddest Dude in Professional Wrestling.” Despite successfully defending his title against giants like Watts, Brian Cage, and Jeff Cobb, Tito still has not earned the respect of The Office, specifically CWFH Minority Owner Nikko Marquez. Marquez has determined that if he cannot find a challenger big enough to take the Championship away from his Champion, he will resolve to remove the power that the title gives to Tito.

“The contract that I wrote for the Hollywood Heritage Champion, and signed by Tito himself, states that ‘The Champion must be featured on the program,’” says Nikko Marquez through a sly grin, “But it doesn’t say that the title needs to be on the line.” That technicality has afforded the Minority Owner and Matchmaker to hold up to his contractual obligations without giving Tito the pleasure of calling himself a defending Champion. “The roster has been mostly quiet now, and Tito has been more or less playing ball with us. So I was thinking about our upcoming Television Events and what would look good on the marquee. At that point, a member of our locker room politely reached out and asked for a title opportunity, which I granted.” HollywoodWrestling.com has learned that on March 11, Bad Dude Tito will put the Hollywood Heritage Championship on the line against Kevin Condron.

After over a year of struggling to find his place on Championship Wrestling From Hollywood, Kevin Condron is now preparing for the biggest match of his career. Though Kevin catches the ire of the fans more than their adoration, the viewing audience can tell you that despite his antics, Condron has some notable accomplishments in CWFH. Kevin Condron competed in the 2017 Red Carpet Rumble and was a featured entrant in the 2018 PP3 Memorial Cup Tournament. It would be unwise to count him out purely on the contempt he feels from those around him. Kevin has several resources in his arsenal including his crafty Social Media Manager, Thomas, and a vicious Snap DDT that has left several laying in the path behind him. Kevin Condron may be the unlikeliest of challengers for the Hollywood Heritage Championship, but perhaps he is the most fitting.

“I will fight like my life depends on it!” exclaims an impassioned Condron, “…because it does!” Bad Dude Tito vs. Kevin Condron for the Hollywood Heritage Championship takes place Sunday March 11 at the Oceanview Pavilion. Don’t miss it!

Mask vs Mask: A CWFH Weekend Preview

By JT Ticonderoga
The weekend is here and that means a brand new episode of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood is on its way! This week’s program is loaded with huge matchups and each one is a Main Event caliber contest. Take a look!
We kick off this week with two Championship rivalries in one ring. Ray Rosas teams with Hollywood Heritage Champion Bad Dude Tito to take on Kevin Condron and United Television Champion Scorpio Sky. With Rosas as the #1 Contender to Sky’s title and Condron the #1 Contender to Bad Dude Tito, this match is sure to break down into a Hollywood barn burner! Will Ray and Tito say “Adios Amigos” and have their opponents fade to black or will Kevin Condron and Scorpio Sky show that they are inarguably “the best?”

Next up we have a huge return to CWFH as Willie Mack makes his way back to the Oceanview Pavilion after over a one year absence. Unfortunately for Willie, there have been a number of very talented young wrestlers who have stepped up in that year. 2018 PP3 stand out “Uptown” Andy Brown goes toe-to-toe with Mack on this episode in a spectacle that is sure to catch the attention of matchmaker Nikko Marquez.

In this week’s Main Event, Championship Wrestling From Hollywood presents a match between two teams of luchadors with the highest stakes imaginable. After months of torment by Howdy Price and back-and-forth violence on both sides, The Rancheros will step into the ring against Spirit and the Stars in a “Mask vs Mask” Match. The losing team will be forced to unmask and will never be able to wear the mask again. The implications of this stipulation are enormous for any luchador, as many Mexican wrestlers who’ve lost a “Lucha de Apuesta” have never been able to recoup the popularity they enjoyed under a mask. With everything on the line, Raul, Rogelio, Espiritu, and Astro Viajero will stop at nothing to cling to their identities and tear away that from the men standing across the ring from them. The Rancheros vs Spirit and the Stars: Mask vs Mask. You don’t want to miss this week’s edition of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood!

Reno Scum Defends the United World Tag Team Championship on Feb 25

After ridding the United Wrestling Network of former World Tag Team Champions Pac 3, Luster the Legend and Adam Thornstowe have declared that they will defend their titles anywhere in the world. With a television broadcast emanating from Shanghai, China on the horizon, the men collectively known as Reno Scum are soon to make their promise a reality. But before their flight for the Far East takes off, they must first put those titles on the line one more time in Hollywood. But who will step up to challenge the Champs?

Championship Wrestling From Hollywood’s Minority Owner Nikko Marquez has been scouting tag teams from across the United Wrestling Network to find a duo that will bring the most exciting fight to television. With touches of “old school” brawling in the repertoire of Reno Scum, Nikko’s task to match that skill set struck an idea in his head to push the matchup forward – or Retro Forward. The team that Nikko has signed for the next World Tag Team Title opportunity is none other than The Office’s own Classic Connection.

Levi Shapiro and Buddy Royal, The Classic Connection.

“Buddy and Levi have been doing a great job representing The Office in their time away from Championship Wrestling From Hollywood,” says a swamped Nikko Marquez. “From what Peter has told me, Classic Connection has been a pillar of contribution on the Championship Wrestling from Arizona roster. Since synergy is a focus of The Office’s re-org, seeing their attention to making other United promotions function shows me that they are deserving of a title opportunity against Reno Scum.”

The matchmaker has spoken and Classic Connection will challenge the United Wrestling Network World Tag Team Champions Reno Scum on February 25th at the Oceanview Pavilion. Don’t miss it!

Scorpio Sky Squares Off with Ray Rosas on Feb 25

United Wrestling Network Television Champion Scorpio Sky has been on a roll at Championship Wrestling From Hollywood in 2018. After taking that title away from longtime Champion Rocky Romero, Sky has been busy telling the entire United Wrestling Network that he is “The Best.” Now with upstart Chris Bey in tow, he’s taking the time each week to teach new generations of fans and wrestlers just what Scorpio Sky is all about. But it’s in these lessons – a segment he refers to as the “Sky Box” – that Scorpio Sky seems to have forgotten that there is an accomplished competitor in his rear view mirror with a rightful shot at the United Television Championship.

Ray Rosas has had a monumental year thus far in his own right. After defeating “Professional” Peter Avalon in a Steel Cage Match at Milestone, Ray has been collecting huge victories that have set his career path towards certain gold. On a recent episode of the program, Rosas defeated both Dicky Mayer and Watts in a Three Way Dance to become the new #1 Contender to the United Television Championship and has wasted no time in asking for that title match. Scorpio Sky has agreed to go one-on-one with his #1 Contender on Feb 25th, but with a catch.

“It will be non-title,” says CWFH Minority Owner Nikko Marquez. “Sky feels (and we agree) that Ray’s #1 Contendership victory may have been a fluke. It is important that every contender is ‘championship material,’ and therefore the United Television Title will not be on the line.” HollywoodWrestling.com reached out to Ray Rosas to see how he is dealing with this news.

“He doesn’t want to put the title on the line?” asked a let down but not surprised Ray Rosas. “Okay. That’s just another thing I’ll have to overcome. Because that’s what I do. I get dealt a hand, I persist, and I overcome.”

What will happen when Ray Rosas and Scorpio Sky step into the ring on Feb 25th? Come to the Oceanview Pavilion and find out!

PP3 Memorial Cup Finals

“I’ve worked hard the last three years at Championship Wrestling From Hollywood to get this opportunity,” says PP3 Finalist Suede Thompson in between sets at the gym. “I’ll be damned if I let this slip through my grasp.” After weeks of qualifiers and unrelenting rounds of tournament matches, we have arrived at the finals of the Percival Pringle III Memorial Cup Tournament. On February 11th at the CWFH Television Event in Port Hueneme, California, the tournament will come to a close and we will find out who will be the 2018 Cup Bearer. You’d be hard pressed to find two individuals who’ve worked harder to get to this stage than Suede Thompson and Royce Isaacs and they’ve told each other as much.

“This is a matchup with bigger implications than just you and I,” says Isaacs with a message for Thompson. “We are two people with very different beliefs. I hope you’re as strong as your beliefs because I will challenge every one of them.” A challenge from Royce Isaacs is not to be taken lightly. As soon as he qualified for the PP3 Tournament, Royce challenged former Cup Holder Watts to a match to show that he can hit as hard as the man with the power of Hyperoptimism. To get to the Finals, Isaacs put down two notable contenders: fan favorite “Uptown” Andy Brown and previous PP3 Cup Winner and former Hollywood Heritage Champion Ricky Mandel. Royce has what it takes, and Suede Thompson has taken notice.

“Royce is an extremely talented wrestler, but I’m the whole package,” says Thompson, who scored victories over the likes of Big Duke and DJ Hyde before entering the PP3 Tournament to get wins over Richie Slade and Julius Coleman. “I’ve never been more confident in my abilities and plan to showcase that in the PP3 Cup Finals.”

Make sure to join us on Sunday, February 11th at the Oceanview Pavilion to see the Finals of the PP3 Memorial Cup Tournament unfold!

United Wrestling Network World Tag Team Champions: Reno Scum

Reno Scum take out Coach Flexo.

Reno Scum means smash mouth wrestling. It’s hard-hitting double teams and concussive combinations.  It’s not pretty and that’s just how they like it. Luster the Legend is a weapon in himself, with a skull as hard as the guitar riffs in his entrance theme. Adam Thornstowe is a lightning-quick striker who’s as athletic as they come. Having recovered from a bicep injury in 2017, Thornstowe is rebuilt man of destruction and now he and Luster have come back to tag team wrestling stronger than ever.

When asked to comment on the tag teams in the United Wrestling Network who are clamoring for a shot at the champs, Adam Thornstowe replied, “Everyone will be silenced by the violence because they’re ain’t no party like a Reno Scum party!” Never short on words for their opposers, the champions suggest that there may not be a team capable of stopping them. “We’re the Reno Scum and we do what we want when we want. And that’s good for us and bad for you!” added Luster the Legend, offering a fair warning to any teams who come calling their names.

Call them what you want, we’ll call them the United Wrestling Network World Tag Team Champions. Every tag team in the United Wrestling Network is on notice: Reno Scum is coming to crack your skull in. Oi!

Tim Storm Discusses His Future in the NWA

Former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm
Every night since December 9, 2017 has been filled with an internal debate for Tim Storm. That is because on that frigid night at CZW: Cage of Death, NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm became the former Worlds Heavyweight Champion. On the road to his rematch with new Champion Nick Aldis, Tim Storm was forced into putting his shot at the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship on the line against Jocephus. Storm fought Jocephus in a grueling Empty Arena Match at the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida and when the dust settled Tim Storm was left laying without his title match to look forward to. So where does that leave the former Worlds Heavyweight Champion?
On Sunday, January 28, 2018, Tim Storm returned to Championship Wrestling From Hollywood to talk publicly about the internal struggle that has kept him up at night. Is it time to hang it up? See the full story here, courtesy of the National Wrestling Alliance:

The Aldis Crusade begins in Hollywood

NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis

“This isn’t just my mission,” exclaims NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis, “This is my life.” The holder of the “Ten Pounds of Gold” has been carefully deciding how to make the wrestling world understand that he belongs at the top of the mountain. In doing so, the Champion has created The Aldis Crusade: A series of title defenses over sixty days to prove that his name belongs in the same conversation as past Worlds Heavyweight Champions like Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes, and Ric Flair.

The NWA has chosen Aldis’ first defense to happen on February 11 at the Championship Wrestling From Hollywood Television Event in Port Hueneme, CA. Here is the full story, courtesy of the National Wrestling Alliance:

PP3 Spotlight: Ricky Mandel

By Weston Browning
Ricky Mandel (Photo by Devin Chen)
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the best-looking wrestler of them all? The “Mirror Image” Ricky Mandel would be the first one to tell you he’s the “Best Looking Champion in Wrestling History.” But don’t let his cocky, arrogant exterior fool you. Where many claim to be one of the best, Ricky has proved it. Championship Wrestling from Hollywood’s audience has already seen firsthand what Mandel is capable of, and with the addition of the new CW audience he looks primed and ready to takeover the entire United Wrestling Network.
The most seasoned veteran in the Percy Pringle III Memorial Cup Tournament was a last minute replacement due to a concussion suffered by Devin Sparks. With an impressive resume, the tournament competitors should approach any match against Mandel with caution. A champion everywhere he’s gone, Ricky is the only member of the PP3 Cup Tournament to have held the illustrious cup in the past, which he used to win Hollywood Heritage Championship in 2014. HollywoodWrestling.com recently caught up with Ricky to ask where his goals for the 2018 PP3 Cup lie.

“The only thing I’m focused on right now is becoming this year’s PP3 Cup winner and being the only man to hold that prestigious honor twice.” Intent on bringing the PP3 Cup back to Sexy Beach, Ricky Mandel may just come in at the last minute and snatch the PP3 Cup right out from under everyone’s noses. Don’t judge this man by his looks. Looks can be deceiving.
The Percy Pringle III Memorial Cup Tournament is set to premiere on CWFH this weekend, with a plethora of top tier talents absolutely itching to get their hands on each other and show the entire United Wrestling Network what they’re capable of. Don’t miss a moment of action on Championship Wrestling from Hollywood as the PP3 Memorial Cup Tournament opening round begins on the program this weekend!

Live From Hollywood: “Red Carpet Rollout” Revisited

By Frank Burns

It is often said that professional wrestlers are comic book super heroes and Saturday morning cartoon characters come to life. On a warm Saturday morning on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, that statement became true when the superstars of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood invaded Meltdown Comics! In what Uproxx.com would call “a new Los Angeles tradition,” Gentleman Jervis hosted The Red Carpet Rollout in the middle of a comic book store in front of a packed house of our most loyal and excited fans.
“To perform at Meltdown Comics on a Saturday morning was like a dream come true,” Says Jervis, a.k.a. The World’s Sweetest Man. “I have long been a fan of Saturday morning wrestling, so to be able to make wrestling for the lovely citizens of Hollywood was a treat. I love everyone.”

Wrestlers like PAC 3, Bateman, Rocky Romero, Scorpio Sky and “Professional” Peter Avalon soared through the air between stacks of Superman, Batman and Spider-Man comic books to thunderous cheers. Even Meltdown’s own Jamie Iovine got a piece of the action as a Special Referee who showed Ricky Mandel what happens when you try to cheat inside Meltdown Comics! It was a triumphant return to Hollywood for CWFH and if the smiling faces in Meltdown are any indicator, we will be back soon.
Emmy Award-winning commentator Joe Galli added, “This was a monumental experiment for the United Wrestling Network and it paid off in a huge way. I think it went better than anyone had expected and it shows that our wrestlers and our product can work in any environment and the fans will come out. Our fans know they’ll be entertained, whether in person or on their television screens. I honestly can’t wait to do it again.”
The Main Event saw Rocky Romero team with Scorpio Sky to take on Ryan Taylor and Dicky Mayer.
Championship Wrestling From Hollywood at Meltdown Comics is a match everyone wants to see. Grab a comic book, bring a friend and be on the lookout for the next time Saturday morning wrestling comes to you live from Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.
