Tim Storm to Announce Future Plans on Jan 28

Former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm is at a crossroads. Having lost the “Ten Pounds of Gold” to Nick Aldis on December 9th, 2017 at CZW’s “Cage of Death,” the future is unclear for the man who proclaimed that Championship as his “mountaintop.”

“I definitely have more miles in my rearview mirror than I have in the windshield,” says Storm, reflecting on his wrestling career. Tim Storm had at least one thing to look forward to inside the squared circle: his rematch for the Worlds Heavyweight Championship. Unfortunately for Tim, someone took exception to that rematch clause.

Storm buries Jocephus in folding chairs during their Empty Arena Match.

Jocephus has been a thorn in Tim Storm’s side for months now. After spending 45 days suspended from NWA sanctioned events due to his attack on Tim Storm at CWFH Milestone, Jocephus hatched a plan to get back to the top. The bearded brawler went after Storm’s family, tormenting Tim’s daughter until he agreed to put up his shot at the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Jocephus in an Empty Arena Match. The melee took the two men all over the Impact Zone with a plethora of weapons used on each another. When the dust settled, Jocephus had his hand raised in victory. Tim Storm had lost the match, lost his shot at the “Ten Pounds of Gold,” and he lost the road ahead of him as a professional wrestler.

Storm lands hard on a ladder at ringside.

What does the future hold for the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion? Hear it straight from Tim Storm’s mouth live at the Oceanview Pavilion on January 28th!

Scum: A CWFH Weekend Preview

With Milestone in the rear view mirror, a new year begins on Championship Wrestling From Hollywood. What better way to kick off 2018 than with the opening round of the Percival Pringle III Memorial Cup Tournament? This week, you’ll see Suede Thompson going against Richie Slade as well as Andy Brown stepping into the ring with Tomaste. Which two of these colorful competitors will advance to the semi finals?

Scorpio Sky defeated Rocky Romero for the United Wrestling Network Television Championship under questionable circumstances at Milestone. Whether or not you agree with his actions, Sky is dead-set on making sure everyone in the world knows that he is “The Best.” The United Wrestling Network Television Champion Scorpio Sky will be in action on the program this week.

In the Main Event of the episode, we will see a huge rematch from Milestone as the new United Wrestling Network World Tag Team Champions Reno Scum defend against Pac 3. Pac 3 lost the titles when Coach Flexo decided to bench player Dylan Bostic and enter himself into the match during their last encounter with Reno Scum. Coach Flexo, never willing to take the blame for a loss himself, was quick to invoke their rematch clause to get the chance to have those titles back around the waists of Pac 3. Will their game plan work or will Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend send the Coach back to the locker room empty handed? Tune in to find out on this week’s Championship Wrestling From Hollywood!

Dicky Mayer and Bateman to Square off on Jan 28

Bateman is a calculated man who knows what he wants. After his steady climb to the top of the Championship Wrestling From Hollywood roster in 2017, Bateman and the viewers were astounded by the upset victory that Dicky Mayer scored on the “Main Man” at Milestone. Looking back at the Blockbuster Event, fans have wondered if Dicky Mayer is just as calculated as the man he’s seemingly targeted.

The last time Mayer and Bateman were in the ring together, it was every man for himself in a Four-Way Dance. The already a difficult task of beating a single opponent was made even more challenging for Bateman and Dicky with the additions of Matt Knicks and Ryan Taylor to the contest. Just as Bateman had Matt Knicks right where he wanted him, Mayer took an opportunity to strike. With a quick Schoolboy pin, Bateman’s shoulders were on the mat and “American Thunder’s” hand was raised in victory. This loss did not sit well with the CWFH mainstay, as Bateman has asked to step into the ring with Mayer once again when the time is right.

Wait no longer, fans. On Sunday January 28th, Bateman and Dicky Mayer go one-on-one. This is a matchup you’re not going to want to miss seeing live. Be sure to be at the Oceanview Pavilion this Sunday to catch all of the action of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood !

Hollywood Heritage Championship Match Announced for Jan 28

Bad Dude Tito has had a rough go of things the last several months, even after having won the Hollywood Heritage Championship. CWFH Minority Owner Nikko Marquez has kept Tito guessing when and where his next title defense will be, not letting the champion have more than a few moments to prepare. This Sunday, January 28th, at the Oceanview Pavilion, Bad Dude Tito will be defending his title against a new opponent who will be making his Championship Wrestling From Hollywood debut.

HollywoodWrestling.com learned that Nikko Marquez has named Jeff Cobb to be the next challenger to the Hollywood Heritage Championship. Though new to CWFH, Cobb has an impressive resume that makes him a worthy contender to the “Baddest Dude in Professional Wrestling.” The native Hawaiian competed as an amateur wrestler in the 2004 Summer Olympics before going pro and challenging opponents all over the world. His skills combined with his unmatched strength make Jeff Cobb a suitable contender to Bad Dude Tito.
Will Bad Dude Tito have a game plan to retain the Hollywood Heritage Championship or will he be out-matched by Jeff Cobb? Come out to the Oceanview Pavilion on January 28th and find out!

The final installment of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood’s Blockbuster Event Milestone is upon us this week. What better way to kick off the program than with a clash of two of Hollywood’s fiercest giants? Jack Swagger faces his most intense challenge yet as he steps into the ring with “The Machine” Brian Cage. Can Swagger break Cage’s ankle before Cage breaks him in half?

Karl Fredericks (Photo by Devin Chen)

Fan favorite Tim Storm returns to the Oceanview Pavilion to take on the young upstart Karl Fredericks. Fredericks has speed, but Tim Storm has a world-class resume and one thing that youth cannot trump: experience. Will Fredericks manage to out-maneuver the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion or will Karl’s eagerness spell a Perfect Storm for the former Champ?

Rocky Romero may have bitten off more than he can chew. (Photo by Devin Chen)

In our main event, we present the rematch that fans have waited all year to see. After Rocky Romero spent 2017 defending the United Wrestling Network Television Championship in Japan, he is back on American soil to prove that he is still the best in the world – if he can get through Scorpio Sky. Sky hasn’t taken kindly to Romero’s absence over the last several months and doesn’t intend on wasting an opportunity to get his hands on the Television Title for a fourth time. After their bout at the Red Carpet Rumble ended in a No Contest, this match is surely one you’re not going to want to miss. Check out this and more as Championship Wrestling From Hollywood presents the final installment of Milestone!

Heritage: A CWFH Weekend Preview

Week two of Milestone is here and it’s jam-packed with great action. Kicking off this week is the United Wrestling Network World Tag Team Championship as Pac 3 defends against Reno Scum. Reno Scum last challenged the champs in the fall of 2017 and due to some interference from Coach Flexo they left the Oceanview Pavilion empty handed. Will Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend dispose of the meddlesome team captain and mosh their way to gold or will the numbers game once again prove to be in the playbook for the defending champions?

A true showcase of the talented competitors on Championship Wrestling From Hollywood is on display this week as a quartet of the most unique individuals on the roster meet in a Four Way Dance. Bateman, Ryan Taylor, Matt Knicks, and Dicky Mayer will go at it, every man for himself, vying for one fall. Certain to please any spectator, be sure to check out this contest on the program.

In this episode’s main event, the bell finally rings for title match that we’ve waited a lifetime to see. Two giants of the sport clash as Watts challenges Bad Dude Tito for the Hollywood Heritage Championship. Watts’ mentor and first Progenitor of Hyperoptimism, Ty Matthews, has spent the last several weeks scouting Tito in an effort to pick apart the Champion from the inside. After suffering a beating from Tito in a match he requested in order to get close to the man, Ty Matthews is confident that Watts is more ready now than ever to bring the Hollywood Heritage Championship to the realm of Hyperoptimism. Will Watts fade to black or will it be a bad day for the “Bad Dude”? Tune in when Championship Wrestling From Hollywood presents week two of Milestone!

PP3 Spotlight: Richie Slade

By Weston Browning

There’s confidence, and then there’s Richie Slade. The Southern California 6 year veteran from the School of Hard Knocks has never had issues believing in himself, and that’s not without good reason. In the weeks since Richie Slade’s debut on our program, we’ve already seen him qualify for the illustrious Percy Pringle III Memorial Cup Tournament. Championship Wrestling from Hollywood offers a unique opportunity to the competitor who survives the tournament and wins the PP3 Cup: the ability to challenge any United Wrestling Network Champion of their choice. Thinking highly of his chances, Slade has already expressed immense self-assuredness for the tournament results.
“I’m at CWFH to wrestle everyone on the roster and get the recognition I deserve from the fans by not just going for one championship…but all of them. At once.” The cocky “Hero in Black Leather” has had his fair share of high profile matches before and has even competed against other members of the tournament in the past. As Richie recalls, “Me and Andy Brown started training the exact same day, and who do you think won Rookie of the Year?” As quick as Slade is to pat himself on the back, he’s even faster to call people out.
Slade qualified for the PP3 Tournament in a tag team match alongside Kevin Condron.
When asked by HollywoodWrestling.com who else he would like to challenge, Slade had no qualms naming names, “Rocky Romero, Tomaste, and Suede [Thompson]. But honestly throw me anyone.” It seems that Slade and Andy Brown may still have a thing or two to work out, and what better way than to do it in the ring? One thing is for sure; Richie Slade will make his presence known by being a unique challenge for each member of the tournament that he faces.
Title holders in the United Wrestling Network are waiting on the edges of their seats, anxious for the PP3 Cup to begin. In just a few short weeks a new PP3 Cup Bearer will be made and the landscape of Championship Wrestling from Hollywood and the entire UWN will change forever. Stay tuned!

As Milestone continues, we’ll have a special attraction as women’s wrestling returns to the program for our Blockbuster Event. Two of the most colorful grapplers to step into the ring will go toe-to-toe as Shotzi Blackheart takes on Willow Nightingale under the bright lights of Hollywood. Will Shotzi leave her opponent green with envy or will the starlet from Long Island pick up a victory as big as her hair?

The most emotional rivalry of the year comes to a head in the Main Event of our program as Ray Rosas and “Professional” Peter Avalon settle their differences in a Steel Cage Match! Live From Hollywood: “Back to School Fight” Revisited

By Adam Jeremies

2018 is sure to bring new opportunities, fresh competition and plenty of surprises to Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. Here at HollywoodWrestling.com we want to take a look back at the action-packed year that was 2017. Who could have predicted that the first televised NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship bout sanctioned by William Patrick Corgan would take place on CWFH? How about the debuts of Jack Swagger and Alberto El Patron? Or the returns of Brian Cage and Ray Rosas? Any of those could have been the most unpredictable moment of 2017, but not the most scandalous. That honor belongs to CWFH: Back to School Fight at the OHM Nightclub.
Back to School Fight was a live event hosted by CWFH head matchmaker, Nicolas Marquez, and “Professional” Peter Avalon that was labeled “Too Hot for TV.” The evening featured plenty of action, including an inter-gender grudge match between Ruby Raze and Kevin Condron. Avalon himself wrestled in a Blacktop Brawl against the “Bad Boy” of Combat Zone Wrestling, Joey Janela.
Marquez also put the CWFH elite to the test against some of the stiffest competition the world has to offer. In a failed attempt to take the Hollywood Heritage Championship away from his foe Bad Dude Tito, Marquez booked a match between Tito and “The Machine” Brian Cage. The Main Event saw Scorpio Sky earn the #1 Contendership to the United Wrestling Network Television Championship by defeating “Mr. Athletic” Jeff Cobb.

But for those in attendance, nothing was more scandalous than the “Hot for Teacher Match” between Joey Ryan and Scarlett Bordeaux. Due to the “after dark” nature of the match, we’re not allowed to include photos from that spectacle on HollywoodWrestling.com. Let’s just say what happens at the OHM Nightclub, stays at the OHM Nightclub for this one.
Who knows what live events 2018 has in store for Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, but we at HollywoodWrestling.com would love to see a return to the OHM Nightclub!

PP3 Spotlight: Royce Isaacs

By R.O. Brown

Money comes, and money goes, but one thing remains the same, and that’s Royce Isaacs. One of the newest additions to the Championship Wrestling from Hollywood roster, Isaacs is all about making the most money as quick as possible. A former champion in Japan, as well as here in the United States, “The Silverback” has already traveled the world. Whether it’s Korakuen Hall, Future Stars of Wrestling, CWFH, or any other company under the United Wrestling Network umbrella, Royce is no stranger to big money matchups with big time players.
“That’s what Royce Isaacs is all about, getting PPV points and prime time spots,” spouts the no-nonsense thoroughbred from The Mile-High City. “Right now my eyes are on that PP3 cup. But after that, Bad Dude Tito is on my list. I think that match could make some serious dough, enough that he could get that hole in his smile finally fixed, even after I knock a couple more of those teeth out. Plus, I could take that Heritage Title off his hands, so it’d be a win-win for us. That’s a symbiotic relationship.”

With his sights firmly set on the PP3 Cup and then the Hollywood Heritage Championship, two things are certain: Royce Isaacs is here to stay and he’s here to make some serious cash. The PP3 Cup Tournament is looking better than ever with Royce’s addition to the stacked group of competitors who are young, hungry, and eager to prove themselves. With the new audience that Championship Wrestling from Hollywood’s television deal with the CW brings, there’s never been a better time to make a name for yourself in the United Wrestling Network. Stay tuned for the PP3 Cup Tournament kicking off in January on Championship Wrestling From Hollywood.
