#RCR16 – Bateman’s TV Title vs. James “Main Event” Morgan’s Career – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

RCR_FBeventheader

Bateman’s United Television Championship vs. James “Main Event” Morgan’s Career

BACKGROUND

  • Bateman set his sights on Morgan months ago. He started by breaking the neck of Morgan’s manager, Stu Stone. Stone was never heard from again.
  • Bateman told Morgan that he wouldn’t stop coming at him until he got the “Old” James Morgan – the ruthless competitor who stopped at nothing.
  • Good on his word, Bateman and Jarek cheated Morgan of his title and then, cheated him again during the rematch – leaving him unable to reclaim the belt.
  • Incensed, Morgan instigated brutal assaults on Jarek. Bateman rejoiced in getting the “Old” James Morgan back and offered him another title shot…but only if he was willing to put his storied career on the line.

Bateman has taken Morgan's manager, his title and now has come for his career.
Bateman has taken Morgan’s manager, his title and now has come for his career.

WHAT’S AT STAKE

  • Everything – James Morgan’s entire career is on the line. Morgan has called himself “The Main Event” for years, but he’s walked the walk. He’s won tournaments, he’s won titles, he’s won grudge matches and he’s won the adulation of his fans. But if he fails to win on Sunday, he will have already won for the final time.
  • Bateman’s Credibility – Everything Bateman has said he would do, he has done. He took Morgan’s manager, he stole Morgan’s title and he ripped down Morgan’s self-control in unleashing the “Old” James Morgan. If he then fails to finish what he started, how does he inspire fear going forwards. Conversely, if he succeeds, does Bateman become the most dangerous force in Hollywood?
James “Main Event” Morgan must regain the Television Championship or he will be forced to retire.
James “Main Event” Morgan must regain the Television Championship or he will be forced to retire.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

  • Jarek 1:20 – The man Bateman has described the way most men would describe a blunt weapon will be present at ringside for sure. Jarek has played a pivotal role in all of Bateman’s victories over Morgan. But, in securing the match, Morgan revealed that Jarek can be a vulnerability for Bateman as well. Unless, of course, Morgan did exactly what Bateman expected he would… Keep your eye on Jarek, he will almost assuredly influence the result.
  • The “Old” James Morgan – The man who would do anything to win showed up the other night. If he shows up at the Red Carpet Rumble he will likely win the match. But will Bateman have won anyway?

#RCR16 – United Tag Team Championship Fatal Four Way – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

GET READY FOR RCR: Fatal Four Way for the United Tag Team Championships
Tag team champions – “The Friendship Express”) will take on three teams of challengers

When Hobo (R) & Jervis Cottonbelly (L) won the titles, the sharks swarmed from every direction.
When Hobo (R) & Jervis Cottonbelly (L) won the titles, the sharks swarmed from every direction.

BACKGROUND

  • Both Jervis and Hobo have often benefited from being underestimated due to their…”non-conventional” approach to the squared circle. So it should come as no surprise that tag teams in CWFH began to smell blood in the water the second the gold went home with The Friendship Express.
  • None moreso than The Classic Connection. Buddy Royal and Levi Shapiro have jumped the Friendship Express every chance they have had. When the champions were at ringside to inquire upon the health of an injured fellow wrestler, the duo savagely struck there as well.
  • Los Primos Rivera have returned to action and returned to their roles as CWFH’s favorite instigators. Danny & Gino are winning matches and angering everyone from the ring announcer to the fan in the back row along the way.
  • PAC-3 (the team of Dicky Mayer, Dan Joseph and Troy McGuire – led by Coach Flexo) has seem like a team reborn since Coastline Clash and Flexo has made it clear – they’re after the gold.
The Classic Connection have relentlessly assaulted the champions at every opportunity.
The Classic Connection have relentlessly assaulted the champions at every opportunity.

WHAT’S AT STAKE

  • Gold begets Gold – Every challenger has never won gold of any kind at CWFH. The champions, themselves, are just a few short weeks into their first reign. A large number of tag team champions have gone onto singles gold at CWFH. Every competitor will be fighting for his partner AND for himself.
Coach Flexo will have to dig deep into the PAC 3 play book to help his team conquer 3 opponents.
Coach Flexo will have to dig deep into the PAC 3 play book to bring home the gold.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

  • Vengeance – The Classic Connection has terrorized the champions for weeks. The last time The Friendship Express got their tormentors in the ring, they lost. Will their focus on vengeance take their focus off the match?
  • Coach Flexo – The whistle-blowing, rule-inventing, sport-swapping leader of the PAC-3 is notorious for attempting to ‘substitute’ his members mid-match, throwing challenge flags to stop the action and writing plays on his clipboard to make adjustments. Don’t be surprised if Coach is saving his best play for the biggest game.

#RCR16 – Hammerstone v. Bad Dude Tito – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

#RCR16 – Hammerstone v. Bad Dude Tito – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Vermin’s enforcer, Bad Dude Tito, will meet CWFH newcomer Hammerstone in singles action.

BACKGROUND

  • Since returning to CWFH, Bad Dude Tito has yet to be pinned in singles competition. His dominance is fueled by his contempt for everyone including (at times) his brethren in Vermin.
  • Recently, Tito began mocking the management of CWFH by begging for stronger competition. Their response was the acquisition of Hammerstone, who has strung together a win streak of his own.
  • Each week both men seem to defeat their opponents to send louder and louder messages to each other.

Tito asked for competition. He got it.
Tito asked for competition. He got it.

WHAT’S AT STAKE

  • PRIDE. When this match is over a better man will be determined. This is a good old-fashioned grudge match.

WIth a win over Tito, Hammerstone could fire a warning shot to the entire locker room.
With a win over Tito, Hammerstone could fire a warning shot to the entire locker room.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

  • Vermin – Could Tito’s Vermin running mates make an appearance? They have long dubbed themselves “The Enemy” of CWFH and, with one of their own set to take on a premiere CWFH signing, the stage seems set for a Vermin strike. But, at least in-public, Tito has been becoming increasingly annoyed by their presence. Vermin has fooled CWFH with this tactic for years; however. Are they truly splintering, or is it just another Vermin trick?
  • “The Newcomers Advantage” – Tito has fought in Hollywood for years. There are hours of footage of his matches for his opponent to scout. Hammerstone, a relative newcomer, may still have some tricks up his sleeve that Tito hasn’t seen.
  • Any Mistake Whatsoever – With two blue-chip opponents so evenly matched, the first mistake could be the ONLY mistake and could make all the difference.

#RCR16 – Eric Watts vs. Julius Coleman – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

#RCR16 – Eric Watts vs. Julius Coleman – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Eric Watts (L) & Ty Matthews (R) have the PP3 Cup and Plan...but what is it?
Eric Watts (L) & Ty Matthews (R) have the PP3 Cup and Plan…but what is it?

BACKGROUND

  • Eric Watts, led by the cryptic and creepy Ty Matthews, has recently captured the Percy Pringle III Memorial Cup from an injured Rocky Romero. Since then, both have been on a war path.
  • Julius Coleman may have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time, but a chance encounter with Watts backstage, led to Coleman receiving a beatdown that could only be defined as a scary display of strength. It would be showing off…if it weren’t so dangerous.

WHAT’S AT STAKE

  • REVENGE. Coleman wants a shot at Watts where he can look him in the eye and fight him – not a backstage mugging.
Julius Coleman will come to RCR seeking revenge.
Julius Coleman will come to RCR seeking revenge.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

  • Ty Matthews – The only thing that the preacher behind “Hyperoptimsm” has made clear about his plans for the PP3 Cup is THAT he has a plan. He orchestrated the attack on Coleman and must have known it would result in this match. That leads to the conclusion that Matthews wanted this match…but why?
  • The PP3 Cup – Watts still holds the cup, which means he yields ‘Percy’s Privilege’ – entitling him to be granted a match for any championship of his choosing at the time of his choosing. With all titles in the building, will Watts exercise his privilege? The element of surprise may never be more on his side.

FITE TV’s “Four Important Things to Examine” on the road to the Rumble

…on the Road to the Red Carpet Rumble
In the aftermath of a sensational Coastline Clash!!!

Coastline Clash is over and CWFH’s latest blockbuster delivered in every single match. If you missed it, make sure to get over to FITE TV right away and check out both episodes (ep. 257 & 258)!

Lost amidst the chaos was the fact that at the very same second that the final bell rang at Coastline Clash, the road to the Red Carpet Rumble began!

Courtesy of our partners at FITE TV, let’s examine four important topics that are sure to steer the road to the Rumble!

  1. For the first time in almost a year, CWFH has NEW United Tag Team Champions! But what’s next?
After weeks of struggle, Jervis Cottonbelly convinced Hobo to ride the rails back to CWFH and their newly-formed team (The Friendship Express) caught fire. At Coastline Clash, that fire melted the tag titles right off the waists of Cold Cold World. Shockingly, the former champs are not expected to invoke their rematch clause. So, who next?Los Primos Rivera, Thatcher & Gulak, The Classic Connection, the PAC-3 and even the various combinations of Vermin are all potential challengers. Maybe it’s someone CWFH haven’t met yet.The question remains – who will next try to derail The Friendship Express?

  2. What is up with Vermin?
For years Vermin’s strength has been drawn from two things – their numbers & their unity. So the return of longtime leader, Yuma, should have made Vermin even more unstoppable than ever. Yet Bad Dude Tito (who has not been pinned since his return late last year) seems unimpressed with Yuma’s leadership. The only time Yuma has been able to rally all five members of Vermin to be in the same place at the same time was to suffer an embarrassing defeat  to team CWFH at Coastline Clash. Can Vermin restore order to their ranks or, after years of surviving every assault imaginable, could the unthinkable happen? Could Vermin actually exterminate themselves?

Bad Dude Tito’s on a winning streak, but Vermin is on a losing streak. Something’s gotta give – but what?

  3. Is Scorpio Sky setting his sights on “Pretty” Peter Avalon and the Hollywood Heritage Championship?
Sasha Darevko and his sinister comrade stole Avalon‘s championship and, for weeks, PPA couldn’t reclaim his gold. At Coastline Clash, after again defeating Darevko, the gold was about to walk away with the Russians again. But, special guest referee Scorpio Sky intervened and flattened Darevko’s enforcer. As he raised, PPA’s hand in victory, he quickly pulled the champion close – staring hard at Avalon and at his title. Is the former champ sending the current champ a message? Has Sky come back to reclaim the Heritage Championship?

  4. What on earth is going on with the Percy Pringle III (PP3) Memorial Cup?
Here’s what we know: Rocky Romero won this year’s PP3, meaning he has earned ‘Percy’s Privilege’ to challenge for any championship at any time. Ty Matthews wants Rocky to put both the Cup and the privilege on the line in a match against his disciple in “Hyperoptimism”, ‘Big Nasty’ Eric Watts. Those two things are known for sure. Now, word is coming out of Japan that Romero was injured in a match overseas. Did Rocky accept Matthews challenge? Can he compete? Is he even allowed to put the PP3 Cup on the line (it has never been defended outside of the tournament)? The PP3 Cup is one of the most unique prizes in all of pro wrestling and the story promises only to get more unique on the road to the Red Carpet Rumble!

    PP3
What will become of the most unique prize in pro wrestling?

With dozens of other questions to focus on, one thing is for sure – the road to this year’s Red Carpet Rumble is going to be a wild one!
